Job summary

Atlas Copco Group, including the Desoutter brand, is seeking a Business Development Manager, Automation, to drive enterprise automation opportunities across the United States and Canada. This hybrid role supports sales, marketing, project, and service teams, leveraging robot guidance and quality inspection solutions to grow our automation portfolio.

You will partner with customers and internal teams to identify needs, craft compelling value propositions, and advance opportunities from discovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering, automation, robotics, manufacturing, business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, engineering, technical sales, product marketing, or business development.
• Experience with automation and digital tools to develop value propositions and business cases.

Responsibilities

• Develop new automation business and strategic customer opportunities.
• Identify customer needs and recommend value-driven automation solutions.
• Lead opportunities from discovery and demonstrations through proposals and order conversion.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline using CRM, forecasting, and market insights.
• Support and train sales teams through joint customer visits, demonstrations, and opportunity reviews.
• Collaborate with customers, integrators, partners, and internal teams to deliver competitive solutions.
