Job summary

A Day in Your Life at MKS: A Software Test Engineer at Power Solutions will partner with engineering, IT, and operations to develop highly-automated test and production systems. In this role, you will report to the Operations Software Team Lead.

Develop software for new/existing applications, utilities, and backend systems; coordinate with test and design engineers on test systems and requirements; analyze schematics to stress key parts of each product's functionality; create engineering

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering)
• 2 years of job-related work experience
• Ability to analyze an electrical schematic and understand nature of designed circuits
• Ability to create electrical schematics for simple adapter PCB's
• Ability to create mechanical drawings for cables and simple systems
• Ability to program clean object-oriented code in either a .NET-based language or LabView
• Ability to work with an international team - both inside and outside of the company

Responsibilities

• Develop software for new/existing applications, utilities, and backend systems
• Take a systems-based approach to designing new test systems
• Coordinate with test and design engineers on the requirements for test systems
• Analyze schematics to ensure test systems appropriately stress important parts of each product's functionality
• Create engineering documentation (schematics, mechanical drawing, and user documentation) for use by groups within and outside of the organization
• Travel Requirements: Up to 5% travel
