Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Richmond, VA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventative and specialized maintenance of the facility and its equipment. The role requires ensuring maintenance compliance with regulations and policies, including wastewater and power plant equipment operations.

You will collaborate with plant personnel and use a computerized PM program daily to document repairs and respond to equipment failures, with emphasis on automation and control systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Familiar with electrical schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, and safety compliance.
• Experience with boiler operation and wastewater systems (where applicable).
• Certified in wastewater treatment or boiler operation (where state permitting).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager, Production Management team, and other key operational partners to support facility operations.
• Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with an emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
