Job summary
Proconex is seeking an entry-level Field Services Engineer to provide technical support for control systems, including setup, installation, startup and post-startup support. You will gain experience with DCS/PLC hardware and software, Windows servers, and virtual architectures such as VMware/HyperV.
Knowledge of fieldbus, cellular and Ethernet communications is a plus. The role involves preventative maintenance, on-site project support, and after-hours emergency coverage to meet service
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science or technical discipline; associates considered.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to interface with customers and internal teams.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment with opportunities for learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Preventative maintenance for service contracts; adhere to SOPs and schedules.
- Demand services for small projects; perform builds, surveys, and modifications.
- DeltaV version upgrades; plan migrations, manage graphics and system builds.
- Project services; support computer setup, testing, and startup activities.
- Emergency support; after-hours on-call 24/7 with rapid response.
