Job summary

Atlascos is seeking an experienced Automation Estimator to cost complex automation projects, including robotic cells, welding systems, vision systems, and integrated turnkey solutions. The role blends technical manufacturing expertise with business acumen for scoping, pricing, and sales support.

You will develop estimates, review specs, collaborate with integrators, engineering, and vendors, and build pricing databases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing automation or related field.
• Strong knowledge of vision systems, robotic systems, integration, and automated processes.
• Proven estimating experience for automation/engineering solutions.
• Understanding of welding, assembly, material handling, and inspection.
• Proficiency with PLCs, industrial controls, and automation architecture.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented.
• Excellent communication with customers, vendors, and teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates for vision systems, robotic cells, welding, handling, and custom automation.
• Review customer specs, drawings, and requirements for scope and feasibility.
• Collaborate with integrators, engineering, sales, and project teams on proposals.
• Quantify components: hardware, software, labor, installation, and commissioning.
• Conduct site visits to assess equipment, constraints, and integration needs.
• Source and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes.
• Develop estimating databases with pricing, rates, and standards.
