Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking an Equipment Engineer to sustain, operate, and improve manufacturing equipment within the Production Engineering team. Candidates should show experience across PLC programming, 3D CAD, robotics, and vision systems, and be eager to learn new skills.

The role supports high-volume production with a focus on reducing downtime, improving reliability, and enhancing process capability. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronic, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Strong ability to diagnose equipment failures and improve OEE using DMAIC/8D.

Responsibilities

• Own equipment performance and drive improvements across production processes.
• Respond to 24/7 production breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Lead equipment upgrades focusing on reliability and serviceability.
• Provide hands-on support to maintenance teams for downtime issues.
