Job summary

Sanmina Turtle Lake, Wisconsin is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician to join our team of specialists in plastic injection molding and electronics integration. You will collaborate to design automated solutions and support plant improvements that meet customer needs and production objectives.

You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines, using CAD tools and PLC/HMI programming to develop robust automation solutions while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree or equivalent related experience.
• 2-4 years experience with the design and implementation of automated systems.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for mechanical and electrical design.

Responsibilities

• Design full solutions using CAD software for mechanical systems.
• Design full controls systems with NEC/ANSI guidelines.
• Program PLCs and HMIs for manufacturing environments.
• Set up IO, VFDs, servo drives, vision systems, and smart devices.
• Develop data collection per application.
• Adhere to safety controls and standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and support lean initiatives.
• Maintain process development docs for production transfer.
