Job summary

Moog is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Automation in Buffalo, NY to lead the development and deployment of next-generation manufacturing technologies within our AIM initiative. You will build and lead a high-performing automation team, partnering across manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations to drive productivity and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• 7+ years manufacturing engineering, industrial automation, robotics, or related fields.
• Proven experience leading technical teams, projects, or engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing automation engineering team supporting manufacturing operations in East Aurora.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement automation technologies that improve productivity, quality, safety, and manufacturing performance.
• Lead automation projects from concept development through production deployment, including planning, testing, validation, and implementation.
• Develop and execute automation roadmaps aligned with business objectives and the AIM transition.
• Partner with manufacturing, operations, quality, and engineering teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Manage project priorities, resources, schedules, technical requirements, and external suppliers.
• Apply Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) methodologies to support technology development and deployment.
• Research emerging manufacturing technologies, including robotics, machine vision, digital manufacturing, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, product quality, process capability, and operational efficiency.
