Job summary

Voith Paper, part of the Voith Group, is seeking an Automation Engineering Intern in Appleton, WI. This full-time during breaks and possible part-time while in school, supports the Automation Group with CAD schematic/layout drawings and BOM generation for machine assemblies.

Ideal candidates are Electrical Engineering students enrolled in ABET-accredited programs, with interest in Rockwell components/software, strong communication, and a willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET accredited university pursuing an Electrical Engineering or similar degree.
• Industrial experience is a plus.
• Experience with Rockwell components and software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings.
• Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies.
• Performs technical calculations.
• Works with suppliers to specify components.
• Develops software for machine control.
• Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery.
• Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers.
• Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
• Interacts with business system as required.

Summary

Voith Paper is a part of the Voith Group and supplies equipment to the paper industry. We are looking for Electrical Engineering students to work as interns in our Automation Group in Appleton, Wisconsin. This is a flexible position, but the expectation is full-time work during school breaks and the possibility of part-time work while attending school.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD software to generate schematics and layout drawings.
• Generate Bills of Materials for machine assemblies.
• Performs technical calculations.
• Works with suppliers to specify components.
• Develops software for machine control.
• Read specifications regarding requirements of machinery.
• Follow instructions as provided by other Engineers, Designers, and Managers.
• Communicate work status with Engineering and Project Management staff.
• Interacts with business system as required.
