Job summary

MSD Malaysia invites applications for its Future Talent Program. This four- to six-month Cooperative education opportunity in our Research and Development Division will involve design, development and execution of complex experiments within the Automation and Engineering Co-op.

You will gather requirements, design components and programs, create user guides, and collaborate with scientists and engineers while executing experiments and analyzing data.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be currently enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in Biology, Computer Science, Chemical/Bio Engineering, or related discipline
• Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies
• Prefer robotics programming experience
• Coursework involving lab
• Required: Must be available for a period 24-week period

Responsibilities

• Gathering information from collaborating scientists and engineers to construct requirements
• Designing and building necessary components, programs and determining how they may work together
• Creating diagrams and models to guide users
• Ensuring designed instrumentation and programs run appropriately
• Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and potential third-party teams and strategizing on implementation
• Experiment execution, data collection and analysis
