Crescent Energy Co. is seeking an Automation Engineer in Midland, TX to design, implement, and maintain PLC-based automation for upstream oil and gas facilities.

You will develop control strategies, prepare detailed electrical design documents, and support commissioning and startup activities. The role requires a bachelor’s in electrical/controls engineering and at least 3 years of automation experience in upstream operations.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3 years of automation experience in upstream oil & gas facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and control system documentation.

Aufgaben

• Develop, program, and maintain PLC control systems for upstream production facilities.
• Produce comprehensive Cause & Effect (C&E) matrices and implement control logic.
• Design and specify control panels, including PLC, I/O, and communication panels.
• Prepare I/O lists, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and cable schedules.
• Support site layout, cable routing, and automation infrastructure planning.
• Provide commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup support for facilities.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and field personnel to ensure robust automation solutions.
