Job summary

Overhead Door Corporation seeks an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automation solutions across our high-volume manufacturing operations. You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and safety teams, and drive data-driven improvements through PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

The role requires hands-on programming, system integration, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, with a focus on scalable automation standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 4+ years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Certifications in automation, controls, or safety are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues in a fast-paced production environment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, quality, and safety teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Program, configure, and maintain PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Analyze process data and identify optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Develop and document technical procedures, troubleshooting guides, and automation standards.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance automation capabilities.
• Train and support maintenance and production teams on automated equipment and controls.
