Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation control systems for industrial processes and warehouse equipment on-site in Fort Myers, FL. You will mentor apprentices, lead projects, and collaborate with operations, engineering and support teams to deliver reliable MHE solutions.

The role requires PLC/SCADA experience, strong problem solving and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent.
Proven ability to lead, train and mentor automation engineers.
Experience with CMMS, troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance activities.
Strong English communication and documentation skills.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and optimize automation control systems and software.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
Adhere to Automation Change Management and documentation procedures.
Collaborate with operations and engineering to optimize MHE systems and deliver projects.
Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
