Job summary

11:11 Systems is hiring a Software Engineer to join the Cloud Development & Engineering (CDE) team, focusing on automation. You'll split your time between contributing to our in-house distributed workflow automation platform and building automation on top of it to support our infrastructure and service delivery teams.

On the platform side you'll write Rust and extend the engine, runners, and language bindings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of software development experience, including Python.
Experience with automation/configuration management platforms (Ansible, Salt, Terraform).
Experience designing or consuming RESTful and/or gRPC APIs.
Comfort with JSON/YAML data formats.
Experience using Git in a distributed environment.
Familiarity with containerized applications and Linux.
Relevant certifications preferred (cloud, Kubernetes, automation).
Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills for distributed teams.

Responsibilities

Contribute features, bug fixes, and improvements to our workflow automation platform (Rust-based).
Author automation in Ansible and Python for infrastructure and service delivery teams.
Partner with stakeholder teams to automate manual processes into reliable workflows.
Build and integrate with custom APIs and external systems across stack.
Improve tooling and developer experience for automation.
Adhere to Code of Business Ethics and data handling policies.
Additional duties as assigned.
