Johnson Controls is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our manufacturing teams. You will help develop new processes, design automated assembly lines, test fixtures, and documentation to support production from concept through production.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in automation manufacturing, with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, RSLogix 5000, and Fanuc robotics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of automation manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency with robotic automation and high‑volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to determine machine requirements and develop specifications for functions, UI and quality control.
• Design automated assembly line equipment and programming.
• Create and maintain test fixtures, BOMs, and test procedures.
• Monitor efficiency and output; improve machine reliability and costs.
• Develop software/hardware designs to meet machine requirements and guide startups.
• Train peers on automation concepts and troubleshoot existing automation.
