Job summary

SpaceX in Bastrop, TX is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Blades and Vanes Foundry to design, develop, and maintain core control systems that power investment casting processes and enable excellence in production reliability.

You will integrate PLC/SCADA with MES, develop scalable data interfaces, and apply real-time analytics to optimize manufacturing performance in a safe aerospace environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or computer science.
1+ years in automation and control system design/commissioning.
Experience with PLC/SCADA integration and data analytics.

Responsibilities

Integrate electromechanical and mechatronic systems with investment casting equipment.
Design scalable data systems and analyze KPI trends.
Develop Python/SQL interfaces with MES and production databases.
Create and optimize HMI/SCADA/MES interfaces and apply predictive analytics.
Ensure electrical panels and schematics meet NFPA79/NEC/UL508A.
