Qualifications

• Engineering degree or technical degree with years of plant experience.
• Design, validation and troubleshooting skills required.
• Proficiency with schematics and PLC programming.
• Willingness for remote after-hours support.

Responsibilities

• Identifying new opportunities for automation and design
• Management of a project team when necessary
• Designing new automation equipment or processes
• Simulating and testing these processes or equipment to ensure they function as desired
• Development of documentation for the new equipment and processes
• Programming new automated components to the manufacturing process
• Developing and maintaining clear and accurate documentation of automation equipment or processes
• Provide training where necessary – after implementing new processes or equipment, or changes to existing ones
• Troubleshooting automated processes or equipment when errors occur
