Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated (JLL) seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to troubleshoot and enhance automation control systems for industrial processes and warehouse equipment. You will design and optimize PLC/PC controllers and networks, while adhering to Change Management and safety policies.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and support teams to improve MHE performance, monitor metrics, and lead remote investigations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or related field.
Ability to lead, train, and mentor automation engineers.
Proficiency with CMMS, troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance activities.
Strong verbal and written English communication; interpret and apply policies.
Problem solving mindset, adaptability, and drive for continuous improvement.
Flexibility to work varied shifts; travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical expert in automation control systems and support remote facilities during downtime.
Design, develop, implement, and optimize control systems and software; maintain and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and networks.
Adhere to documentation and Automation Change Management procedures.
Partner with operations, engineering, and support teams to optimize MHE systems and deliver projects.
Monitor MHE metrics, analyze performance issues, and lead troubleshooting locally and remotely.
Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement for performance and cost savings.
Communicate timelines and workarounds to leadership and stakeholders.
