Job summary

Goshen Engineering is seeking Automation Engineers to design, develop, build, integrate, test, commission, and support automation solutions across electrical and mechanical controls. The role includes PLC/HMI/SCADA/servo/VFD/robot programming, safety systems, documentation, and project execution at customer sites.

The position ranges from Level I to III based on proficiency, with growing leadership responsibilities, independent project work, and mentorship of junior engineers and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and mechanical controls-system design solutions based on engineering principles, applicable codes, and customer requirements.
• Design, build, test, document, and implement automation solutions from concept through customer-site implementation.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo, and robot control systems; including Allen-Bradley, Siemens platforms.
• Design and implement safety control circuits and safety-system solutions per standards.
• Perform system testing, startup, commissioning, and technical support at sites.
• Interpret customer requirements and develop practical technical solutions from observations and communications.
• Lead projects as appropriate to level and coordinate technical work and documentation.
