Job summary

Goshen Engineering seeks Automation Engineers to design, develop, build, integrate, test, commission, and support automation solutions across electrical and mechanical controls. The role progresses from technical work to independent project leadership with opportunities to mentor others.

Located in Mount Olive, NC, the position involves travel to customer sites, hands-on programming, safety systems, and on-site support to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or related field; experience may substitute education.
• Experience with automation, controls, electrical, or engineering at the assigned level.
• Ability to create electrical schematics and work with PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and robot control systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required for project support and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and mechanical controls-system design solutions based on engineering principles, applicable codes, and customer requirements.
• Design, build, test, document, and implement automation solutions from concept through customer-site implementation.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, servo, and robot control systems across multiple platforms.
• Lead projects as appropriate to level, coordinating technical work and maintaining records and customer correspondence.
