Job summary

Vesuvius is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead and support projects for Flow Control systems used in steelmaking. The role combines in-office engineering with on-site commissioning, debugging, and customer interaction to ensure successful installations.

Responsibilities span PLC/HMI programming, testing, documentation, and collaboration with R&D and the sales team. Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, control systems, and problem solving are essential to thrive in harsh industrial

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience: BS preferably in Electrical and/or Control Systems.
Experience in Automation Engineering and/or Steelmaking Industry preferred but not required.
Work experience preferred in positions requiring computer skills, responsibility, problem solving.

Responsibilities

Engineer and manage automation projects for Vesuvius Flow Control systems.
On-site commissioning and testing at customer facilities; troubleshooting and interface with customer.
PLC/HMI programming and documentation production to complement projects.
Assistance on R&D projects and technical customer support are among main activities.
