Job summary

Prysmian Group is a world leader in energy and telecom cable systems, supporting manufacturing of optical fiber with advanced PC/PLC controls. The Automation group provides technical support for production and improvement projects across multiple brands and protocols.

The role requires experience with Rockwell, Schneider, and Siemens PLCs, strong problem-solving, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or Computer Science.
Experience programming Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider, and/or Siemens PLCs.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to drive continuous improvement and work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain PLC programs for production and facility equipment.
Provide automation support for optical fiber manufacturing.
Collaborate with technical staff to resolve production issues.
Assist commissioning of new equipment for production.
Ensure backups of programs and critical files per plant standards.
Follow safety procedures and ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 guidelines.
