Prysmian in the United States seeks an Automation Engineer to support optical fiber manufacturing with PC and PLC based controls. You will develop and maintain PLC programs, provide automation support, and help resolve daily production issues while ensuring safe operation per ISO standards.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Experience with programming Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Schneider, and/or Siemens PLCs.
• Prefer fiber optic or highly automated industry experience.
• Prefer PLC programming experience.
• Prefer experience with Profibus, Ethernet and Modbus+ communication protocols.
• Prefer experience with HMI software with PC to PLC and PC to Database transactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper backups of all programs and critical support files are maintained per plant standards

Automation Engineer

Candidate will be an employee of the Automation group supporting the manufacturing of optical fiber. This individual will provide technical support in the area of PC and PLC based controls and automation.
