Job summary

Amrize, a North America-focused building solutions company, seeks an Automation Engineer for Florence, CO. You will own PCS specification, programming, testing, commissioning and maintenance, targeting improvements in plant performance, OEE and MTBF, collaborating with Process, Maintenance, Production, Shipping, Environmental and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field is preferred.
• 3-5 years experience in automation, preferably in cement industry.
• Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, VMware and MS Office.
• Strong PLC and process control knowledge (ControlLogix, PLC-5, SLC 500)

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain process hardware, software and documentation within control room and server room.
• Support maintenance and operation of plant electrical systems.
• Program Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs and HMIs; manage PLC-based systems.
• Assist installation of new plant equipment from conception to operation.
• Utilize PCS for management reporting and environmental/permitting compliance.
• Maintain standard specifications for modifications and additions.
• Review and revise drawings as required.
• Identify opportunities to maximize equipment life and efficiency.
