Job summary

Amtec Solutions Group in Huntsville, Alabama seeks an Automation Controls Specialist to lead projects from receipt to installation. You will design electrical and pneumatic systems, program PLCs, HMIs, robots, VFDs, servo drives, and vision systems, and perform field service on installed equipment.

Qualifications include 5+ years in automation, proficiency in PLC/HMI/robot programming, strong analytical and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Proficient in PLC and/or robot programming languages.
• Excellent analytical skills to design, program and troubleshoot automated equipment.
• 5+ years of automation experience
• PLC and HMI programming experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be a team player.
• Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

• Electrical design, pneumatic design, programming, testing and installation.
• Programming PLCs, HMIs, Robots, VFDs, Servo drives and vision systems.
• Perform field service on previously installed equipment as well as equipment installed by other manufacturers.
