Job summary

Quikrete Materials seeks an Automation Engineer to program PID loops and automate plant systems across multiple processes, including rock crushing, conveying, grinding, and cement operations. You’ll troubleshoot controllers, maintain data servers, and support system backups and training for operators at a busy plant.

Applicants should have a degree in engineering or a related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work overtime and on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related field or a 2-year technical degree with 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to define correlations between like/equipment and to reprioritize to fit business needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication, good numerical and analytical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Program PID control loops to automate plant systems and subsystems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the control system and field communication equipment.
• Support training for Control Room Operators and Shift Supervisors on control relationships.
