JOBOT in Fridley, MN is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead the design and implementation of custom automation systems from concept through commissioning. You will work on PLCs, robotics, controls, and machine design to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with automation equipment and systems.
- Experience with PLC programming and industrial controls.
- Strong understanding of automation, machine design, robotics, or manufacturing systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design: design automation equipment, retrofits, robotic work cells and end-of-arm tooling; produce detailed drawings and BOMs.
- Electrical Design & Controls: design control systems, panels, wiring layouts and select components; read schematics.
- PLC Programming & Robotics: program and troubleshoot PLCs; develop robotics solutions and HMIs.
- Project Leadership: lead automation projects from concept through commissioning and coordinate resources.
