Job summary
JLL is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and implement automation control systems for industrial processes and warehouse equipment in Robbinsville, NJ. You will work with conveyors, sortation, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices to improve reliability and performance.
The role requires strong engineering knowledge, hands-on PLC programming, and the ability to mentor apprentices while coordinating with operations and support teams.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree or equivalent experience in automation engineering.
- Ability to lead, train, and mentor junior automation engineers.
- Experience with CMMS, troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong English communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and optimize automation control systems for conveyors and SCADA devices.
- Mentor Apprentices to meet safety and technical standards.
- Troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
- Document changes and follow Automation Change Management procedures.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and support teams to improve MHE systems.
- Lead remote and on-site troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
