Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to design and implement automation control systems for industrial processes and warehouse equipment at Beloit, WI.

You will mentor apprentices and work as a site technical expert across PLCs, SCADA, and networked systems. The role requires strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on PLC/HMI experience, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or knowledge equivalent to a 4-year degree.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and mentor automation engineers.
• Experience with CMMS, troubleshooting, and coordinating maintenance activities.
• Strong English communication, both written and verbal.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and optimize control systems and software.
• Serve as site technical expert in automation control systems and mentor Apprentices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
• Follow documentation and change management procedures; collaborate with teams.
