Job summary

Nordson EFD is seeking an Automation Engineer II to design, automate, and improve manufacturing processes. You will create equipment specs, project plans, and documentation to enable scalable automated systems across production lines.

The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, and vision/robotics, plus the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This is an on-site position in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with automated assembly equipment and systems.
• 2+ years hands-on with instrumentation and controls incl. PLCs, HMIs, networking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing staff to ensure design intent and cost effectiveness.
• Design and plan electrical systems including power, communications, and data.
• Create project plans and organize activities.
