Job summary

Quality Consulting Group, LLC seeks an Automation Engineer to join our Puerto Rico/USA team, delivering in R&D, CAD, and control-system projects across manufacturing environments. You will design, program, test, and implement automated equipment, contribute to AI/ML initiatives, and collaborate with stakeholders to advance new technologies and therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
• 2+ years of direct application testing experience, preferably within a Windows or Linux desktop environment and including automation.
• Experience in PLC programming and controls (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) with a focus on learning advanced techniques.
• Experience in vision systems and robotics (Cognex, Keyence; FANUC, ABB) and system integration.
• CAD design and wiring using SolidWorks or AutoCAD; basic electrical schematics.
• Development of SCADA and HMI applications; PLC applications.
• Applied machine learning and artificial intelligence knowledge.
• Available for 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Support design, development, and implementation of small-scale automated equipment and systems including PLC programming and vision system integration.
• Assist in creating CAD models, wiring schematics, and ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Manage projects with stakeholders; mentor teammates when needed.
• Develop CAD software engineering methods, assess hardware architecture, and plan technical projects.
• Define approaches for CAD software design specifications and parameters; develop routines and utilities.
• Prepare design specifications and analyses for presentation and approval; evaluate vendor capabilities.
