Job summary

EQVAL Group, Inc. seeks motivated Design Automation Engineers to support design, development, and implementation of automated equipment and systems in Puerto Rico.

The role involves programming PLCs, integrating vision systems, and assisting with robotics projects to optimize manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include CAD modeling, wiring schematics, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic automation

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical preferred).
• 2+ years experience in regulated industries (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and robotics (FANUC, ABB).
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Design Automation Engineers to support the design, development, and implementation of automated equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the design and programming of PLCs, assist in the integration of vision systems, and support robotic automation projects to improve manufacturing processes.
• Assist in creating CAD models, wiring schematics, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment providing strong foundation in automation technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical and Mechanical backgrounds preferred).
• Previous 2+ years experience in regulated industry (Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices).
• Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
• Familiarity with vision systems (Cognex, Keyence) and robotics (FANUC, ABB), with the ability to assist in system integration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), with knowledge of electrical wiring and schematics.
