Job summary

Niagara Bottling, LLC seeks an Automation Engineer II to lead automation initiatives across manufacturing plants. You will design, test, and maintain PLC, HMI, and control systems while driving AI-enabled analytics to improve reliability and performance.

You will independently plan projects, supervise commissioning, and mentor junior engineers, collaborating with maintenance and production teams to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field required.
• 2 years of experience in automation, PLCs, control systems, and industrial automation.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide day-to-day technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own programming, testing, and maintenance of PLC, HMI, and control systems.
• Plan and execute automation projects independently; escalate when needed.
• Incorporate data-driven and AI-assisted insights in design decisions.
• Design and support AI-enabled components like machine vision and adaptive control.
• Oversee commissioning and validation of new equipment.
• Document changes and contribute to shared automation libraries.
