Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking an Automation Support Engineer to design, develop, and implement robotic systems that automate repetitive tasks in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves hands-on work in a factory setting and direct support for prototypes and system maintenance.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation and 4+ years in automation in a factory, with preference for a Bachelor’s degree.

Inside the Role We are looking for an Automation Support Engineer to provide technical expertise in supporting and improving automated systems within a regulated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and enhancing automation equipment and processes, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position involves hands-on work in a factory setting, including occasional tasks around machinery.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 – $121,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.

• Apply engineering and computer science principles to develop robotic mechanism components and systems
• Support and participate in research, design, configuration, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes
• Provide technical direction for system repair and maintenance

Knowledge You Should Bring

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field with at least 4+ years of experience in automation support, and engineering within a factory setting
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems independently and provide guidance to team members when needed.
• An attached Resume is required.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC's Rockwell Experience #LI-AH2 #LI-HYBRID
