Daimler Truck North America is seeking a qualified engineer to design, develop, and implement robotic systems that automate repetitive or dangerous tasks in a manufacturing environment. The role requires applying engineering and computer science to build robotic components and systems.
The position emphasizes participation in research, design, testing, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes, with responsibility for technical direction on repairs and maintenance. Relocation is not offered.
Designs, develops, and implements robotic systems to automate repetitive human functions or dangerous tasks. Applies engineering and computer science principles to develop robotic mechanism components and systems. Supports and participates in research, design, configuration, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes. Provides technical direction for system repair and maintenance.

Position offers a starting salary range of $95,000 - $121,000 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience.
Note: This is a 2nd Shift (Swing Shift) Position
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field with at least 4 years of experience in automation support, and engineering within a factory setting
Ability to solve moderately complex problems independently and provide guidance to team members when needed.
