Job summary
Greenheck Group is seeking an Automation Engineer I for the Machine Development Center in Schofield, WI. You will design, program, assemble, and install electrical controls for machines and tooling systems, and support the automation and controls team with project work and post-install troubleshooting.
This role requires 0-2 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, AutoCAD Electrical, basic motion programming, and OSHA/NFPA safety knowledge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a related field is required.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and OSHA/NFPA training.
- Familiarity with electrical drafting and controls standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, assemble, and install electrical controls for machines and tooling systems.
- Provide post-installation troubleshooting and support for automation projects.
- Write PLC/HMI/Robot programs and develop electrical bill of materials.
- Create electrical schematics and cabinet layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Travel to Greenheck facilities to install machines and train staff.
- Collaborate with IT applications for program integrations.
