Job Overview

Automation Technician I, II, or III responsible for building, wiring, assembling, and installing electrical controls used in machines and tooling systems at Greenheck Group.

Responsibilities

• Level I:
  • Create electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layouts using AutoCAD Electrical Build.
  • Wire electrical panels and external machine components to the cabinet.
  • Develop electrical parts lists for each project.
• Level II:
  • Write PLC‑HMI programs using standard software packages.
  • Create electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, and wire panels (low‑complexity machine control).
  • Design machine guarding strategies in compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Order parts via Ariba Purchasing system.
  • Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machines to production readiness.
• Level III:
  • Write PLC‑HMI programs using standard software packages.
  • Create electrical schematics, cabinet layouts, and wire panels (medium‑complexity machine control).
  • Design machine guarding strategies in compliance with OSHA and ANSI standards.
  • Order parts via Ariba Purchasing system.
  • Power up, troubleshoot, and commission machines to production readiness.

Qualifications

• Level I:
  • 0–2 years of relevant work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
• Level II:
  • 2–4 years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Basic AutoCAD or drafting software proficiency.
  • Basic PLC training and HMI programming.
• Level III:
  • 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate degree in Electromechanical Technology, Automation Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • AutoCAD or drafting software proficiency.
  • Basic PLC training and HMI programming.

Travel and Location

Minimal travel is required. Work will be on site in Schofield, WI.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting base pay range: $30.14/hour – $45.87/hour, depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance. Physical Requirements

Work performed in an office setting with standard office equipment. Sedentary tasks, occasional lifting up to 10pounds, repetitive hand and wrist motions, close visual acuity for computer and reading tasks, and occasional mobility for meetings.
