Abbott in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking an Automation Engineer I to join a cross-functional team (Systems Development, R&D, Operations and IT) to design and deploy automated laboratory solutions for pre-analytical sample processing, immunoassay and next-generation sequencing workflows in a highly regulated medical device environment.

You will work with software, mechanical, electrical and biomedical disciplines to build scalable automation platforms, write technical documents, debug complex

Competenze

• 1+ years of experience with automated liquid handlers and associated software in regulated settings.
• Experience with Hamilton liquid handlers is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and proven ability to communicate across sites.

Mansioni

• Develop automated laboratory solutions through programming of liquid handling robotics to meet assay workflows in a regulated environment.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate lab processes into software requirements.
• Develop robust automated liquid handler methods for scalable high-throughput use that integrate with larger software systems.
• Iteratively improve software based on experimental data and user feedback.
• Troubleshoot issues across electrical, mechanical, and software systems and perform root cause analysis.
