Job summary

Genezen in Lexington, MA is hiring an Automation Engineer (I–III) to manage facilities and process automation. You will support manufacturing operations, troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, and lead projects to optimize equipment and controls.

The role requires 2–8+ years of automation experience, familiarity with cGMP and 21 CFR Part 11, and a BS in engineering or related field. On-call duties and background checks apply. Salary ranges listed reflect increasing seniority.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–8+ years relevant experience in automation.
• Experience with PLC/SCADA systems and pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provides automation support and troubleshooting services to Genezen's operational groups.
• Supports design, implementation, and commissioning/qualification of new automation systems.
• Provides budgetary and schedule estimates for all automation related projects.
• Leads automation specific projects to modify/improve equipment, facilities, and/or process controls with supervisory oversight.
• Provides technical support and analysis for the resolution of deviations, investigations, and process issues.
• Develops test scripts, automation procedures, and specifications.
