Job summary

Biogen, Inc. in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking an Engineer II/III Automation to provide 24/7 process controls support at the NC manufacturing site. The role manages multiple small OPEX/CAPEX projects and CI initiatives, prioritizing site support with project delivery.

You will design, develop, install, commission, and qualify automation and process control systems, validate documentation, and collaborate with QA to support investigations and CAPAs, while upholding cGMP requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience with Rockwell and Siemens automation platforms and DCS familiarity.
Proven ability to write user requirements, design/functional documents, and test protocols.
Experience in regulated manufacturing environments with 21 CFR Part 11 awareness is a plus.
Knowledge of validation and documentation processes for GMP/compliant systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, install, commission, and qualify automation and process control systems for manufacturing.
Partner with cross-functional teams to define requirements and control system specs.
Configure PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to support processes and ensure reliability.
Troubleshoot automation and system integration issues and support investigations and CAPAs.
Provide preventive maintenance planning and participate in on-call or off-shift support.
