TC Energy Corp. is seeking an Automation Engineer/Technologist to support safe, reliable operation of control systems at compressor stations and related facilities. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automation across PLCs, HMIs, networks, and data-acquisition systems.

You will diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with field operations while supporting lifecycle management and project work. Hybrid, flexible location options across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical program.
• Six or more years of related experience.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
• Working knowledge of PLC and HMI platforms.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, narratives, logic diagrams, and manuals.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and root-cause troubleshooting skills.
• Clear communication of technical information to operations and vendors.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct technical support to field operations for automation, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, industrial networks, remote communications, and data-acquisition systems.
• Support inspection, testing, calibration, repair, and lifecycle management of components.
• Review PLC/HMI applications, alarms, and system data to improve reliability.
• Coordinate software/configuration/logic changes with change-management and documentation.
• Monitor performance and identify reliability risks; guide operating and maintaining crews.
• Support capital projects through design review, commissioning, startup, and validation.
