Job summary

ASML, located in Wilton, CT, seeks an Automation Engineer for Electrical Test systems to join the Production Engineering Test department. You will lead electrical test and automation projects, developing and maintaining hardware, software, and data solutions while supporting production in a cleanroom environment.

The role requires a strong software development background with experience in LabVIEW, Python, C/C++, and MATLAB, plus networking across Windows/Unix platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 0+ years’ experience in an Engineering environment.
• Strong software development background.
• LabVIEW, C#, C/C++, Python, MS Visual Studio, MATLAB.
• Networking Windows, Unix, and Proprietary OS systems.
• Internships/co-ops considered for zero full-time experience.
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, electrical test, instrumentation, software development, data acquisition, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical test and automation projects from requirements through validation and production deployment.
• Develop, integrate, and maintain hardware, software, instrumentation, data-acquisition, database, analysis, and reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, software, computer, and network issues; perform root-cause analysis and create diagnostic guidance.
• Install and upgrade test software, backups, operating systems, programming environments, and network-connected factory equipment.
• Translate production needs into requirements, scope, dependencies, acceptance criteria, validation plans, procedures, and technical documentation.
• Apply disciplined software lifecycle practices and support secure, reliable factory output through cross-functional collaboration and knowledge transfer.
• Spend approximately 50% of work time in the cleanroom supporting production test engineering and resolving computer and network issues.
