Job summary

JC Automation Corp. is seeking an Automation Engineer to support in Carolina, PR for an initial six‑month term. The candidate will pair automation expertise with project leadership while coordinating with engineering, operations, quality, IT and site stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have DeltaV experience, alarm management knowledge, and strong data analysis abilities. The role requires flexibility to work onsite and remotely as needed by project timelines and GMP needs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Computer, Mechanical, or Industrial).
• 2–4 years of experience in automation/controls or 5–10 years in a similar role.
• Experience with DeltaV and instrumentation.
• Experience with alarm management or ISA-18.2 / EEMUA 191 preferred.
• Computer systems validation in GMP-regulated operations.
• Strong data analysis skills (Excel and alarm tools).
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead alarm rationalization, configuration, testing and validation activities.
• Provide frontline troubleshooting for DeltaV alarm issues.
• Review SOPs and drawings related to rationalized alarms and coordinate with SMEs.
• Support engineering, operations and maintenance with rationalized alarm strategies.
