Job summary

SMX is seeking an Automation Engineer, Mid, to design, develop, and implement automation and orchestration solutions that enhance the organization’s cybersecurity and network infrastructure. By creating automated workflows and scripts, the engineer utilizes coding languages such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Python to integrate cybersecurity tools, streamline processes, and minimize manual intervention.

This full-time on-site position is located at Fort Shafter, HI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or related roles.
• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for SCI and NATO read-on before commencing work.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Ansible, and Python; experience with automation/orchestration platforms like Jenkins, Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Create and deploy automation solutions to streamline cybersecurity processes and improve system efficiency.
• Create and sustain custom scripts and workflows utilizing PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Integrate cybersecurity tools, systems, and processes with the existing infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.
