Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated evidence collection pipelines that integrate with cloud, identity, endpoints, ticketing, and source control systems. You will codify control requirements as executable tests, normalize data into consistent schemas, and ensure evidence flows into the compliance platform.

Responsibilities include implementing tests as code, normalizing heterogeneous source data, and building features within an existing codebase

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software or automation engineering experience.
• Strong Python and TypeScript skills for production software.
• Hands-on API development including webhooks and auth.
• IAM experience, preferably AWS, with cloud tooling.
• SaaS and system integrations with Okta/Entra/Jira/GitHub/Workspace.
• ETL and data pipeline experience across systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and test automation in production code.
• LLM integration with evaluation and regression testing.
• CI/CD tooling and automated QA proficiency.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build automated evidence collection pipelines that integrate with APIs and event-driven systems.
• Implement continuous control tests as code and surface results and evidence artifacts.
• Engineer the evidence data layer by normalizing data with provenance preservation.
• Develop features in the existing codebase within CI/CD workflows.
• Harden AI-assisted workflows with evaluation datasets, guardrails, and fallbacks.
• Instrument pipelines with logging, alerts, and dashboards to monitor health.
• Document integration designs and data models for future maintenance.
