Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer Apprentice to learn troubleshooting and maintenance of material handling equipment, including conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, labeling systems, scales, and HMI systems. You will work under guidance of journey workers in high automation facilities, focusing on safety and process efficiency.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Basic Mathematics knowledge is required.
Be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.
Must be able to commute to the site.
1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
Willingness to enroll in a 12-week training.
Commitment to a 2-year onsite apprenticeship after training.

Responsibilities

Conduct preventative/corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment components.
Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
Assist with basic electronics and PLC troubleshooting.
Must be able to move up to 49lbs, stand and walk up to 12 hours, climb ladders, and perform bending, lifting and reaching.
