Job summary

Lilly is seeking an Engineer - Automation Engineering to join the Automation Engineering Department at Eli Lilly, Foundry. The role focuses on providing automation support across site areas and capital projects, ensuring a right first time startup and ongoing GMP operations.

You will mentor teammates, influence process control strategies, and collaborate across disciplines to advance the process control agenda and compliance goals.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Engineering or a related scientific discipline with experience in Analytical/Laboratory systems.
• Exposure to analytical instrument software/data systems (e.g., Empower, LabX, UNICORN).
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; no sponsorship provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administration and configuration support for Laboratory and Analytical equipment site-wide.
• Support third-party vendors during analytical system implementation and qualification.
• Perform configuration, access and data-integration tasks under the Senior Engineer – Analytical Systems Support guidance.
• Administer user access, data management and integration (to PI and other repositories/DCS) and backup/restore for analytical systems.
• Troubleshoot routine issues; escalate complex problems to the Senior Engineer.
• Maintain documentation of configuration and access changes per Lilly quality standards.
