Job summary

SINNOVATEK SERVICES LLC is seeking an Automations Engineer for full-time work in Middlesex, NC. The role involves designing and prototyping process and packaging systems, wiring and testing, and integrating PLC/HMI/SCADA with Python/C++ based interfaces.

A strong CAD background and knowledge of industrial protocols are essential. You’ll contribute to AI-driven routines, data preprocessing for ML models, and on-site commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (or in final semester).
• Introductory experience or coursework in CAD (SolidWorks or AutoCAD).
• Controls integration with field devices (sensors, VFDs, flow meters, actuators).
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, OPC UA).
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/automation systems in a production environment.
• Hands-on mindset, comfortable learning in the field.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Active passport or ability to obtain one within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, modeling, and prototyping of process and packaging systems.
• Support testing, assembly, and commissioning of prototypes.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and process diagrams.
• Specify, install, and troubleshoot sensors, actuators, and instrumentation.
• Participate in wiring, panel layout, and field testing activities.
• Support integration, programming, and troubleshooting of PLC/HMI and SCADA systems.
• Contribute to coding and testing of automation or AI-driven routines.
• Assist with sensor data collection and preprocessing for ML models.
• Work with Python, C++, or similar to interface with hardware.
• Maintain documentation including test reports and wiring diagrams.
