Job summary

Adapta Controls in Utah seeks an automation engineer to lead projects through design, programming, commissioning and ongoing maintenance. You will work with Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, robotics, machine vision, and safety systems while interfacing with diverse clients.

Applicants should have an engineering degree (EE/ME/CS) and a track record of resiliency and adaptability. Travel and occasional remote work may be required, with a focus on delivering robust automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Design, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting for PLCs (Rockwell) and HMIs.
• Robotics integration with Fanuc preferred; machine vision and motion control.
• Electrical design support and networking; ability to interface with clients at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from design to programming, checkout and maintenance.
• Interface with a wide range of clients and customers across industries.
• Travel as required; adapt and solve diverse technical problems.

Skills & Responsibilities - Design/Programming/Commissioning/Troubleshooting:

PLC's – Rockwell experience required

HMI's

Robotics - Fanuc experience preferred

Machine Vision

Motion & Motor Control

Machine Safety

Electrical Design - AutoCad experience helpful

Communications & Networking

Communicating technically and personally with clients at all position levels

Travel is required and will vary in frequency and duration

Qualifications -

Proven experience demonstrating the skills and responsibilities listed above

Proven demonstration of resiliency, adaptability, and determination
