Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Program and support 3-axis and 6-axis robotic systems used in injection molding production environments.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems (Siemens, Omron, Benchoff).
• Diagnose and resolve automation issues in electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and document per procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production teams to reach goals.
• Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment for automation systems.
• Perform startup and commissioning of injection molding machines (IMMs).
• Install and support industrial vision systems (Keyence, IFM).
• Install and program EOAT for robotic applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot Engel and Krauss Maffei interfaces.
• Program and troubleshoot KUKA robotic systems.

Geiger Automotive USA Inc. (Suwanee, GA) is hiring an Automation Engineer to perform the following job duties:

• Program and support 3-axis and 6-axis robotic systems used in injection molding production environments.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems, including Siemens, Omron, and Benchoff platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve automation issues involving electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and complete required documentation in accordance with company procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, and production personnel to support production goals.
• Fabricate repair parts using shop equipment to support automation systems.
• Perform startup and commissioning of injection molding machines (IMMs).
• Install, program, and support industrial vision systems, including Keyence and IFM platforms.
• Install and program End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) for robotic applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot Engel injection molding machine interfaces.
• Configure and troubleshoot Krauss Maffei injection molding machine interfaces.
• Perform programming and troubleshooting for KUKA robotic systems.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent)
• 2 years of experience in Automation engineering or a related occupation involving PLC programming, robot programming, and injection molding automation systems.
